• Note: Without a properly signed Letter of Invitation, preferably submitted along with a completed and approved Declaration of Sponsorship (Engagement de prise en charge / Verpflichtungserklärung) through the local cantonal authority, sponsorship may not be considered valid. Sponsorship does not eliminate the requirement for the applicant to provide their own financial documents — both sponsor and applicant proofs are necessary. The Swiss embassy may also request additional documents, such as the sponsor’s tax clearance certificate, accommodation details, or travel history.
